Made with Layers and Patience.

Oil paint is a silky, refined and slow drying medium that is believed to have started in the Seventh century.

I enjoy using different painting methods. Soft, lighthanded strokes and other times textures that leave behind unique traces of the process. There is a period of time where the paint must cure before continuing onto the next layer. This can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks. I have actually watched paint dry, giving me sometime to plan and reflect on my work.

Below is a painting I am currently working on. Zoe was a feisty girl in her younger years. As she grew older, we became closer and our relationship blossomed into something I never expected.
